Best Buy is currently the only national electronics retailer and houses over 1,100 stores within the U.S. alone. Best Buy is best known for it's numerous selection of electronics, low priced merchandise, knowledgeable sales people, and great services. Best Buy started up in 1966, in St. Paul Minnesota and was formerly known as "Sound of Music". In 1983, "Sound of Music" changed its name to the globally recognized name of Best Buy. Best Buy owns many external companies such as Geek Squad, Magnolia, Insignia, Dynex, Rocketfish... all of which offer extended products and services to different demographics. Best Buy has limitless demographics, but does target certain products and even design their stores based on the demo's of local area. Best Buy is also Fortune 500 company.
